About this product Synopsis Boston in Motion, the sequel to Trolleys under the Hub, is an intriguing collection of photographs that captures the history of transportation in and around Boston. Authors Frank Cheney and Anthony M. Sammarco trace the stories from the earliest days of public transport with the Winnissimmet Ferry to the MBTA of today.
A city known for its comprehensive public transportation, Boston has hosted every type of transit known to urban America. Connecting East Boston to the city were various modes of transportation including ferries, railroads, and an underground streetcar tunnel. Open your list. Great views and friendly staff. But we were blown away by how fantastic the whole place was. It was raining and we stayed fully entertained not even leaving the building. We plan for this to be where we stay every time we come to Boston! The facilities are brand new, the bed is soft and comfortable, the sofa can be transformed into a queen size bed.
It also has a washer and dryer. Close to a community compost drop spot, I found this useful and convenient. Good view of the city, probably the best view. It's a much better arrangement than a hotel room. Friendly staff and great location. Right next to T train for downtown stops and airport. Family visiting Boston from Ireland for the first time stayed here and loved it. Had heard mixed reviews about location, check-in process, staff etc but overall they had no issues with any of these and would stay here again.
The very minor points: 1. We needed to replace battery in a smoke detector. It would be nice to know that recycling bins are in a trash room.
We have found them just before leaving the apparmnet. It has been, so far, the best place I have ever stayed in! I am a frequent traveller. The apartment was sparkling clean and nicely arranged, fitted with all the appliances one might need for even a long stay. Bonus: beautiful waterfront just over the front door.
So much to do on the property. Booked a queen suite for 3 people. The sofa bed the suite should have had was just a sofa. My friend had to find an alternate place to sleep when no one answered the emergency out of hours contact phone or my emails asking for assistance. By 10am the next morning I had had no response from the property management company to my emails or calls and had to go to the office in another building to resolve myself.
Whilst apologetic for the error in apartment allocation, no discount or refund was offered on the 1st night of our 2 night stay. We then had to relocate to another apartment resulting in a lot of wasted time, money international roaming and frustration. Very disappointing for the cost. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Great roof terrace. Everything was great. The location. We were given a single bath towel and there were no extra towels or linens in the rental.
There were strange plastic coverings on two of three smoke detectors, which was also strange Then housekeeping enter4d the room at when check out is at No mention of construction next door and lots of construction noise starting at 8am. Small but important details. Generally a clean and spacious area with nice kitchen. That we were only there one night.
For the price we did not have high hopes before arriving. Really hard to find the building. Great location. No breakfast and location was ideal!! Was told I would get a call asap. Getting in the building was a disaster, if it weren't for help from some people who live there I would have been out of luck. No suggestions as to where to park. Also there is no one on this site.
Security is but they are not related to this company. If you lose your keys for some reason you'll have to wait for this company to help you. So let's see, 10'oclock at night, emergency services called twice, no one responds, and thank God I did not lose the keys or else I would have been stuck.
Also , I know Boston, East Boston is not a place you want to be alone at 10'oclock at night. My advise? The instructions to get in where although detailed enough a bit confusing. Also there was no place to leave the luggage after check out and I felt it was a bit overpriced although maybe that's consistent with the Boston average. It was next to the river with stunning views. Also quite close to the center and airport with good transportation with the T. Everything but the WiFi is great. When I got there in the first night, I connected to the WiFi but there was no signal.
The next day when I examined the TV and the wires, I found that the wires and the signal wires are disconnected, after I reconnected them, the WiFi and TV became available. Didn't quite understand check in procedure. Was a bit lost when I came to the door.
I pressed the right numbers on the key pad but nothing happened. Another tenant let me in. I loved the whole apartment. Easy to get to from. Maverick Station. Lots of light, a comfortable couch, loved having a washer and dryer. Loved that it had a gym and swim facility but the couch was so comfortable I fell asleep on it, moving to the very comfortable bed later. Considering the local construction, it was a well maintained area and relatively clean and normal goings-on.
Up to date, and close to public Transportation, convenient to get to downtown or to nearby locations with bicycle! Super easy to find room, man at front desk was incredibly helpful! Parking was difficult. The closest public parking is downtown.
Clean and the staff were great. Location was great, we were able to use the water taxi to go from East Boston to downtown. Great experience and comfortable stay. Error: Please enter a valid email address. Error: Oops! An error has occurred.
